Official Scholarly Rulings (Fatawa) — Summary:

1. Islamic Fiqh Academy — OIC, Jeddah (1988): Resolution No. 26 (1/4) formally declared voluntary, unpaid organ donation permissible in Islam under four conditions: (a) donor's free and informed consent, (b) no financial payment involved, (c) donor's life not endangered, (d) performed by qualified medical professionals.

2. Darul Ifta Bangladesh: Issued fatwa permitting voluntary organ donation with family consent, citing Hifzul-Nafs as one of the five Maqasid of Islamic Sharia.

3. IMAB & IMANA: Both organisations support voluntary organ donation as consistent with Islamic values.

4. Scholarly majority: Contemporary Hanafi, Shafi'i, Maliki, and Hanbali scholars concur on permissibility.
